Jewel Quest Solitaire 3 is a fantastic solitaire game that’s probably unlike any game you’ve seen before. The game blends together the elements of both match-3 and solitaire game which might sound like a rather weird combination on paper but surprisingly enough it ends up working out very nicely. It’s a very unique game and we definitely recommend trying it out.
Jewel Quest Solitaire 3 can be slightly difficult to get the hang of at the start since it isn’t really your average solitaire game. Fortunately, the game has a really helpful and in-depth tutorial sequence that’s been designed to make sure that newcomers don’t struggle with the basics of the game. The tutorial isn’t standalone but instead has been incorporated into the first few levels of play which is a much more convenient way of learning the game since it allows you to progress while learning the basics at the same time.
The gameplay, as mentioned before, blends together both solitaire and match-3 elements. However, it’s worth mentioning that the game does focus primarily on the solitaire aspect. The solitaire gameplay is pretty straightforward and like that of traditional solitaire games but with a few twists here and there. The objective is pretty much the same; you have to create four different stacks of cards, starting from the ace and ending at the king. You must create one stack for each individual suit of cards and once you’ve managed to make all four then the level will conclude and you’ll be given a rating depending on how quick and efficient you were. The levels are really well designed and every new level provides a unique and enjoyable challenge.
The match-3 gameplay is pretty straightforward as well. After every few solitaire levels you’ll be given access to a match-3 sequence that gives a really nice change of pace from the usual gameplay. These sequence are very well designed and rather challenging as well so you won’t just be able to breeze through them by simply matching whatever basic match you see. You’ll need to think hard and create good matches that consist of four or more objects so that you can get a high score and then move further.
Onto the visuals, Jewel Quest Solitaire 3 is a pretty solid game when it comes to how it looks. The artwork is solid, the animations are very fluid, the in-game cards look very sharp and the objects in the match-3 sequences are quite good looking as well. Accompanying the great visuals are some really high quality sound effects that make the experience much more immersive.
Jewel Quest Solitaire 3 is free to play for 60 minutes on a trial basis but after that you’ll need to purchase it for its standard price which will lift any time restrictions and allow you to play as long as you want.
