Three Towers Solitaire is a Facebook based solitaire game that will provide you with hours of fun by combining together all the great things about the good old solitaire formula with the ‘Three Tower’ concept which basically means that there are three separate towers of cards to bring down and only the keen observer will be able to figure how to take down all three of these tower to get to the end of a level.
The game takes a minimalistic approach to the design as there aren’t really any flashy visuals accompanied by the gameplay. When you start the game off you’ll be met with a simple menu screen which will give you the options of going to the cash shop, starting off a game or playing through the tutorial. Due to the simplicity of the game, the tutorial isn’t really necessary but is still worthwhile to complete since you’ll get a reward if you do so.
The gameplay of three towers solitaire is basically as simple as it gets. Simply click on the card that is one up or one down from the current card in selection. Doing so will remove that card from the tower and will make way for more cards to follow through. The objective of the game is basically to keep repeating this process until you’ve brought down all the cards in all of the three towers but bear in mind that even though it may sound extremely simple, it is no easy task to accomplish and will require a lot of focus from the player.
Core gameplay elements aside, Three Towers Solitaire offers a lot of other elements to bring more fun into the game. The first thing is the addition of power-ups, normally you wouldn’t see power-ups in a solitaire game but Three Towers Solitaire takes a different approach.
You’ll have specific power-ups that you can use to give yourself in edge in the gameplay. Aside from these power-ups you can also invite your friends to play the game with you and then compare scores with each other. There’s also a leaderboard in the game that shows the best scores of all the players in the game.
Another great thing featured in Three Towers Solitaire is the tournaments section. Basically every few days there’s a tournament held where players pay a bit of the in-game currency to participate. The player with the best score in the overall tournament gets to take entire prize pool with him. This prize pool can be absolutely enormous at times due to the amount of players participating in the tournament.
Three Towers Solitaire isn’t that big on micro-transactions but it does allow you to purchase the in-game currency with real world money. You can use the in-game currency to buy things like power-ups or participate in tournaments. Whether or not you choose to pay for it, you’ll still be able to acquire the in-game currency by playing through the game so the game is fair to both non-paying and paying players.
