The Far Kingdoms: Age of Solitaire tells the story of how an evil wizard took measure in destroying the kingdom of men. As a few survived the catastrophe, you’ll get to follow onto one’s shoes – Arianna. Help her rebuild the kingdom by playing through the puzzle in this brilliant solitaire title.

As with the fourth game, Solitaire Mystery: Four Seasons, you are thrown into the city of Magic Cards, where time is standing still. Wise and foreboding Nature has imposed a curse as punishment for the greed and avidity of the city's entitled inhabitants. It's up to you to jumpstart the Magic City clock and get it turning again. Go about a myriad of solitaire layouts and solve dozens of unique and exciting puzzles to save the city in this wonderful Solitaire game.

Lastly, we have Solitaire Kingdom Quest on the list, not entirely a proper story to follow you up as you go about the game, but filled with silly skits every single time you achieve something in the game (say for instance winning the tourney or defeating the black knight). And although it does not particularly entail a deep plot, the story sure is still enjoyable as well as commendable for how it was presented.

As for the trend nowadays, what makes up a great solitaire depends on two defining factors. First lies over the overall presentation of the game, which includes the visuals elements present therein, the sounds and effects, and ultimately the gameplay and content. Another factor depends on its uniqueness, a defining character to stick into the game – innovative and unique to its own.
